Wednesday 28th March

Well well well..................I am supposed to be on my way to hospital now but am NOT!. Mummy got a call yesterday morning saying that a emergency had come up and my "BIG OP" has been delayed until next week, 3rd April! I was all ready to get this nastyblastoma out of me but this just means I have another week to get more fit & healthy for my operation.

I have really enjoyed the last few days. All my family and friends have come around to wish me well....looks like they will have to come again next week and bring me more presents! hehehe.

I stayed at Nanny Ang's for a few hours last night and had loads of fun with Nanny and Grandad J.

Am going to Nanny Dee's for lunch today, then I don't know what to do with myself, suppose I will let you know later what I get up to today.

bye bye

Sunday 25th March

Hello Everyone,

What a week! Sorry for not updating the diary but yet again I have been so busy getting to full health before my operation. We had a scare on Tuesday, one of my test results came back from by bone barrow with neuroblastoma cells in. We had to wait until Thursday for the final result as more test's on the bone sample where needed.

On Tuesday I started the stem cell harvest so I had to stay on my bed for 2 1/2 hours with this big machine next to me. We were aiming to get the magic number 4 from the machine but it only had 3.3 by the time it had finished so I was told I would have to go on the machine again tomorrow.

I woke up in a great mood on Wednesday, I was fit and ready to produce the stem cells this big machine wanted. We had a blood test in the morning and they cam back amazing! almost all my counts had doubled!!!!. BRING ON THE MACHINE. The machine came and went and we got what we needed and more. We ended up with 6.8 and they only wanted a 4!

I was let out of hospital on Wednesday evening, I went straight to Nanny Dee's for my organic tea. I ate it all up.

Mummy got a call from the doctor on Thursday morning about the test results. The doctor say the test had come back clear so he thinks everything is still going to plan and my operation would not be delayed. I can't wait to get out this nastyblastoma tumour!

I spent the next few days pottering around the house, playing with toys and helping Mummy and Nanny cook my organic meals. I spent Saturday at Nanny Dee's as Mummy and Daddy needed to do some running around for fundraising.

Thank you everyone for being so supportive over the last few months. The really nasty things are coming up now, my big operation and bone marrow transplant, so please keep me in your thoughts and prays and am sure I will be fine.

Love

Emma

Monday 19th March

Evening,

What a mad day! I needed to have a little operation to have a tube inserted into the side of my neck, this meant I could not eat or drink anything from 12am this morning. I went to sleep at 8pm last night so that was the last time I had a drink. I was put on an emergency list to go to theatre this morning. I woke up at 4am with hunger pains but was not allowed anything so like a good little girl I went back asleep...........for about 10 minutes. I WAS SO HUNGRY! and I let everyone know about it. I even woke Mummy up but know one was going to give into me. I went back to sleep until 8am, now it was just the waiting game. I had bloods done and sent off for testing, they came back fine. Nothing was going to stop me now.......or was it!

I really wanted my bottle of goats milk but Mummy and Daddy told me the doctor had taken it away. Wait till I get my hands on him! At 11am I was still looking for this doctor with my bottle but I could not find him anywhere. I was then told that due to bloods not being ordered by the surgeons I was not added to the morning emergency list!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT! your joking me? I have been staving for more than 12 hours now and because bloods not being sent I need to wait until the afternoon and I STILL HAVE NOT FOUND THE DOCTOR WHO HAS ROBBED MY BOTTLE!!!!!!! so that was that. I was added to the afternoon list and the bloods where sent, I even double checked!

I finally went down to theatre at 2pm and I was in there for 1 hour. Everything went fine and they done what they needed to do, now I have another tube coming out of the other side of my neck.

I spent the rest of the day letting everyone know about my new tube and telling them it was really sore. Nanny Dee & Grandad Ste came into hospital to visit me. Nanny bought me some nice organic chicken supreme. I ate it all up.

Night Night

Sunday 18th March

Hello Everyone

Am back in hospital now. I arrived at 1pm so I could have my GCSF boost and full blood counts done for tomorrow. I am in theatre first thing in the morning to have the tube inserted into my neck for my stem cell harvest.

Yesterday I dressed up as a princess and would not let Mummy or Daddy take off my dress when I went to bed so I ended up sleeping in my pink princess dress :D . Am putting on weight which is good and all my blood counts are still recovering brilliantly after chemo.

Am full of so much energy and in such good health these days, it must be all the organic foods am eating, the nice clean water & fresh juice am drinking daily and also the clean air I breath in everyday. I need to thank Kevin Wright (Bobby's daddy) for telling my Daddy so much about how food, drink and air can help unwell people get better. Before we contacted Kevin I was eating rubbish foods as it was quick and easy to get hold of. For the first few rounds of chemo I was really sick all the time until my Daddy contacted Kevin, my diet changed then and since it changed I have not been sick and I have been full of energy and most of all am fighting this nasty cancer, so once again I thank you Kevin.

Saturday 17th March

Morning everyone,
I stayed at Nanny Ang's last night. Mummy and Daddy went bowling (Daddy won) so to give them a break, Nanny Ang said I could stay the night. W had loads of fun and I sleep alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll night in Nanny's bed as Grandad was working nights.

On Friday I started my GCSF boost but it was really nasty! I have always had the boost through my central line but this time I needed a BIG needle in my leg and it hurt. I screamed the hospital down! The nurse was naughty and I told her off! I need to have one boost everyday, for the next 5 days. Am not looking forward to it!

We go back into hospital on Sunday and I think where staying over for 1 night. On Monday I will be having a little sleep so the doctors can insert a tube into my neck so they can harvest my stem cells.

Am off to have some nice homemade toasted bread for breakfast.

Thursday 15th March

Hello,
I have been really busy the last few days and it's been my Daddy's fault for the diary not being up to date. I have been writing the diary but he has been really busy and has forgot to update the site. He said it won't happen again, we will see!

Mummy shaved my head today, there was only a few hairs left so it was best to get them off, I look stunning! I was not scared and I even helped Mummy clean the mess up afterwards.

I start my GCSF boost tomorrow so am back in hospital, it should only take about 50 minutes but this will be for the next 5 days so it means a visit to hospital everyday. Next week I should be ready for the harvest as am still in good health and full of energy.

Thank you everyone that is helping to raise funds for me.

Saturday 10th March

Am going home today, I should be finished on hydration at 5pm. I had a good nights sleep last night. Mummy stayed in my isolation room with me,  she snores very loud hehehehehehe but not as loud as Daddy :P

Today there are 6 different teams playing charity football matches for my appeal. Thank you Paul Davis for organising this event. Tomorrow there is also a big event on at Skelmersdale United football ground so Thank you everyone who has help with all these events.

Thank you Gamestation ( http://www.gamestation.co.uk ) for giving me a Nintendo Wii. I can't wait to play with it and will post some pictures of me having fun with it.

Friday 9th March

Am back in hospital but am in isolation :( When I had test done the other week they found a flu like bug so am stuck in isolation. I feel fine and didn't even know I had the flu. Am on chemo for 30 minutes then 24 hours of hydration. Mummy and Daddy have brought me my DVD collection so am going to watch them.

Thank you everyone who is still sending me cards from www.postpals.co.uk

Thursday 8th March

Today am having a birthday party. I was in hospital for my birthday so I could not have the party I wanted. A local children's activity centre let me have a little party. Giggles in Skelmersdale where great, me and 6 of my friends spent the afternoon having a party and playing party games, thank you Giggles.

Am still feeling great and eating nice organic foods all the time. All my blood test's are normal and everything is going to plan. Am going in hospital tomorrow to start my stem cell harvest.

I have been given my date for the "big op" it's going to be on 28th March 2007 so am going to eat loads of organic food and build myself up it. Am going to get this nasty lump out, once and for all!!!

Tuesday 6th March

I got some of my results yesterday. My MIBG scan was clear and my bone marrow is still clear, this is great news as I have no cancer anywhere other than my tumour. My tumour is still the same size but we will get told more information on this on Friday. The doctor had not seen my CT SCAN, he had only seen the notes, so he could not really comment on the CT SCAN and tumour. Am made up with the results as the nasty cancer has not spread anywhere else and the chemo is still working and killing the cancer cells.

Am back in hospital on Wednesday for some bloods tests and then am back in on Friday for the start of my stem cell harvest, I will be in hospital Friday and Saturday for some chemo and then everyday for a GCSF boost.

Thank you everyone who has emailed me, I wish I could reply to everyone but I receive 100's every week and I just don't have time but they really do make my day when Mummy & Daddy read them to me so keep sending them.

Monday 5th March

What a busy week. Last Saturday I had a high temp so I was admitted to hospital till Wednesday. I was well, in myself and felt normal, I just had a high temp but they never found out what the infection was. So on Wednesday morning I went home and fell asleep with Mummy and Daddy in their bed. I was asleep for about 3 hours when guess what?

I spiked another temp!!!!! it was 38.6, so after a phone call to the hospital and before we had even unpacked our car, we where on the way back down to the hospital! I was admitted to hospital again for another 48 hours. I would not mind but I was only gone for 3 hours and they gave my bed away! so I ended up on another ward as my normal one was full.

I spent Thursday playing with the new toys Mummy and Daddy bought me, they got me a microphone so I could sing. I sang all day and night, Daddy has a video of it so he will upload it soon. On Friday Nanny Dee came in to look after me so Mummy and Daddy could do some running around for the fundraising events. Me and Nanny had loads of fun and when the doctors came round I was old I could go home as my temp had stayed down for 48 hours.

On Saturday I went to Nanny Ang's to play with Auntie Heather & Taylor. We had loads of fun and I even stayed at their house that evening. I had loads of nice organic food and fresh organic orange juice. My temp stayed down over the weekend and am full of energy.

Today I have an appointment at hospital with the transplant team and also my own doctor, I should get all of my results from the last lot of test done the other week. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
